The Balzac series was the result of a lecture Sznajderman gave at the School of Visual Arts in New York City on the creative process using the Balzac by Rodin as an example. Part of this series was exhibited in 1972 at the INCIBA (National Institute of Culture and Fine Arts) Gallery, Caracas, Venezuela.
